Hang In There: What's the best way to hang a bike?

The only surefire way to thwart bike thieves (and make your bike feel like a valued member of the family) is to let it spend the night indoors. That said, not everyone has a spacious garage or a devoted bike workshop, and many of us of us have roommates who appreciate being able to walk around the apartment without tripping over bikes. In this post, we'll take a peek at some new space-saving storage options that get your bike off the floor and onto the wall where it can be appreciated!

Bike Hooks

Just like the shops use, a few well-placed bike hooks will let you hang your whole fleet in the floorspace you'd normally devote to just one bike. The Da Vinci includes a rear tire tray so you won't scuff up your walls and has the added bonus of making an awesome coat hook for your roomies when you're out for a ride! (Plus, your bike gets to pretend it's Spider-Man, they love that.)

Single-Bike Shelf

Need everything tucked a bit tighter against the wall? With a folding bike shelf, your ride only comes off the wall as far as your handlebars. The Monet single bike shelf folds away when you're not using it, and even provides a handy spot to store your helmet and ride gear so you don't have to go digging around your room before you head out the door!

Double-Bike Shelf

If you've got a couple bikes to get out of the way, consider a two-bike shelf! The Pablo provides all the perks of the single-shelf (storage for your goodies, folds up when not in use, etc...) with the added benefit that you leave something beautiful (your second bike) on the wall for your roommates to look at when you're out riding. They're also ideal if your roommates ride too because everyone's stuff is in the same place, out of the way and off of the floor.

Clug Bike Rack

CLUG is the world's smallest bike rack. It's the tiny minimal way to hold your bike!

You won’t believe something so small will work so well, but it does! No winches, hooks or balancing acts, just a satisfying “clug” and you’re all set!

We'll be bringing in even more storage options in the next few months, so stay tuned for those and let us know what you use at home in the comments below! We've seen everything from DIY racks to state-of-the art "smart" set-ups, but as long as they hold bikes they're beautiful to us!
